COMMUNITY: VISITING SCOOP
We visited Scoop in November 2022, on a day when it was pouring rain. As part of our supplier tour in Portugal, we went to their facility to explain our product. Up until then, we had only interacted with them online, but while waiting in their showroom, we were surprised to see a garment that India Juliett had previously developed for another client. Turns out, we had already worked together without even knowing it.
We were impressed by the range of things the people at Scoop can do. We knew they were experts in technical and performance wear, but during our visit, we discovered they also have an impressive R+D department focusing on workwear, rescue gear, and other innovative projects like inflatable and light-up designs. They also embrace upcycling challenges, which is very important for us.
Right from the get-go, we had a great rapport with Fátima and Cristina. And, on a side note, we love that their workshop is modular: depending on what they are producing, they move all the machines around and adjust the space accordingly, constantly reconfiguring it.
