Maty Moruno started sewing as a child in her mother's workshop whenever there was faena, and has been surrounded by the craft ever since. She pursued studies in pattern making and design, then worked in her family's business before moving on to a swimwear company. Throughout her career, she has seen the transition from traditional to digital sewing techniques, and she has done it all: designing, pattern making, cutting, warehouse management... Interestingly, the factory where she once worked was located on Carrer de Badajoz, just two blocks away from our Estudio.
Maty is Hector's mother and brings to the table all her experience developing patterns and prototypes for GE, along with the vegan croissants and pastries she is always bringing to the team. When she's not working hand in hand with India Juliett, she loves hosting friends at her house for meals and, above all, dancing. Her parents came from Extremadura; she has something of the South in her, and more than twenty years ago, she joined a dance academy where, until recently, she was practicing flamenco at night. Growing up in her household, music ranged from flamenco jondo to Los Chichos.
