Annexable sistema
"Aprovechar" means to use something intentionally and make the most out of it—whether that’s fabric, time, or an opportunity.
Aprovechar is also a way of staying connected with our raíces. Looking back, we can trace the resourcefulness of many previous generations, who took better care of their belongings and found clever ways to recycle in the face of hardship.
Take Spanish tradition: to make migas, you use leftover bread that wasn’t eaten in previous days; to make almazuelas, you join discarded cuts from other garments in geometric designs to form quilts; and to make jarapas, you weave cotton scraps on a loom to create colorful rugs.
The ANNEXABLE SISTEMA is designed to aprovechar more our jackets, and render them more useful, wearable, and long-lasting. The JARAMAGO, the JARRAMPLAS and the JALOQUE can be worn on their own or interlocked to form functional pieces for colder days. By covering more functionality with fewer garments, we can help reduce wardrobe clutter and unnecessary purchases.
Much like fruncir (gathering) with laces and cords, the ANNEXABLE SISTEMA is our take on a concept de toda la vida: the liner.
However, there’s no zipper involved when attaching the JARAMAGO to the JARRAMPLAS. Instead, we rely on the anchor points and built-in trimmings of the MODULAR and ADAPTABLE SISTEMA—things like stoppers, buttons, drawstrings, cords, elastics, and laces—so you can experiment with the jackets’ silhouettes while simultaneously interlocking them.
And, as luck would have it (we didn’t expect this), the JALOQUE also happens to zip right onto the JARAMAGO, allowing you to wear the rompevientos with the padding inside—or the other way around—since the ANNEXABLE SISTEMA always lets you layer things however te apetezca.
